Time to quit my day job... again
This past June I attended my Level V as part of my RYT through YogaFit. An amazing thing happened that weekend when I realized something. What I’m doing (or was doing) just wasn’t working for me. I’ll say it again and feel free to admit this to yourself: What I’m doing just isn’t working.
I had wanted to pick up more classes, teach in a studio environment and just...

Kristen Grace ~ Bio
Like many others, my body and mind have responded to Yoga in ways I didn’t think were possible. Yoga helps us to process our feelings, gain mental clarity in order to make better decisions and help us realize the strength we already possess. That is because we are always healing. Every moment of every day, we are healing from something; physical or emotional. It is an amazing privilege to help...

Yoga for Seniors and How to Use Props
This Friday, I’m taking another step closer to my RYT. Yoga for Seniors and How to Use Props, a full day of learning how to keep my participants safe, regardless of age. I think using props and getting a refresher on how to queue them will really enhance my Beginner’s Yoga class that I teach each week.
Too often I think there is a stigma around yoga that using props or a block or a...

Time to teach corporate Yoga
During the busiest season each year, it’s hard to truly believe that there is anything to life other than work. On my journey towards realizing that there is more to what defines me than my job, I’ve decided to offer Yoga at my place of work free of charge during those busy months. Not only do I need to realize that there is more to life than my job, but the people around me need to...

Time to quit my day job... (will probably not be...
So a while ago I was thinking to myself that maybe I should teach some more yoga. I only teach once per week right now because I’m not going to lie, I like to “be a student” too. When I got married and moved out of town, I had to cut down my classes a bit. Anyways…we’re moving back so in an effort to pump up my schedule, I just put out the vibe, a similar vibe to my...
Heading to Jamaica tomorrow...
What’s more, is upon my return, I’ll begin teaching at a local spa! It’s just moments from my home, so I’ll be teaching 2x per week - a slow flow and power flow, back to back. The spa is just beautiful - they offer tons of treatments, yoga and even sell yogic jewelry and yoga inspired clothing, etc… I would definitely invite local artists into my studio - what a...

Legs up the Wall pose
I just completed another 20 hour intensive training course through Yogafit. Though my body is sore, I am more than re-energized to continue thinking about the day I have my own students, my own teachers to train, etc… My husband was the inspiration for the name by the way, Elysium Yoga. I’ll post about that a different day. We revisited Legs up the Wall pose (or Legs on Wall) - not a...

Yoga Studio here I come...
I’ve always been told that in order to realize a dream come true, you first have to have the dream. And to proclaim it, to put it “out there” so that it can flutter around and find it’s way back to you. Therefore, I would like to proclaim that I’d like to own a yoga studio one day. I just believe that doors will open and I’ll find an adorable little studio that...
